The event will be held March 11 and 12 at the Air Passenger terminal in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Session topics include future air traffic management, electronic flight bags, certification & standards for future avionics systems (UAV's), integrating COTS and dealing with obsolescence, technology for runway incursion, use of multicore processors in avionics systems, cost benefit analysis of implementing performance-based navigation and avionics upgrades, and more.

The Avionics-Intelligence Website and eNewsletter launched in November 2008 and covers all aspects of commercial and defense avionics. The main conference program targets issues for the global avionics industry. There will also be workshops on tutorials on emerging standards in software and hardware as well as innovative ways to overcome technical and business challenges in procuring and integrating avionics systems and subsystems.
The content is for program and project managers, engineering managers, engineers, and commercial and military aerospace executives who are involved in avionics integration, manufacture, design, and technology standards development.

This spring PennWell, the parent company of Military & Aerospace Electronics magazine, purchased Avionics Expo Limited, a U.K. company which owns and produces the successful Avionics conference and exhibition. The show's founder, Adrian Broadbent, was retained as event director.
Established in 2003 as an annual event, Avionics includes a trade exhibition, two-day conference program, workshops, and technology demos serving more than 1,400 attendees.
Reviews of the 2008 program were strong.
"Avionics 08 was the event this year to discuss and learn about new challenges in Avionic," says Chistina Poschmann of Wind River in Alameda, Calif. PennWell also announced the first global expansion of the Avionics exposition with Avionics U.S.A., scheduled to run concurrently with the Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum in San Diego at the San Diego convention center on June 1 and 2, 2009. The new event offers two separate conferences and a shared exhibit floor. This shared environment will allow the senior level attendees to walk the entire show floor and mingle with the executives attending each event.
