TORRANCE, Calif., 24 Feb. 2009. Martek Power Inc. in Torrance, Calif., is introducing the MW400S 400-Watt single output commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AC-DC aerospace power supply module for military, industrial, and military avionics applications.

Measuring 6.5 by 8 by-1 inch, the MW400S aerospace power supplies are converters with active AC power factor correction and built in EMI filters. The military power electronics unit accommodates a universal single-phase input from 90 to 265 volts AC at 47-440 Hz.

Line harmonics meet MIL-STD-1399 for 60 Hz or 400 Hz. Conducted EMI meets CE101 and CE102 of MIL-STD-461 without requiring any external filtering. The converter provides isolated 2, 3.3, 5, 12, 15, or 28 volts DC outputs. Power Factor is 0.99 and efficiency is 82 percent at full load.

Standard has include remote turn on/off (TTL control), output voltage trim, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, AC Good TTL signal, DC Good TTL signal, fixed frequency (500-550kHz) conversion with synchronization input.

These, along with specified performance (no derating) over an operating temperature range of -40 to 100 degrees Celsius from no load to full load. For more information contact Martek Power online at www.martekpowerabbott.com.
