Israeli firm Elisra to supply airborne electronic warfare systems to South Korea

BENE BERAK, Israel, 18 March 2009. Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. in Bene Berak, Israel will supply the South Korean government with electronic warfare avionics for Korea's C-130 four-engine turboprop transport aircraft, under terms of a $25 million contract, Elisra officials say.

Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. in Bene Berak, Israel will supply the South Korean government with electronic warfare systems for the avionics systems on Korea's C-130 four-engine turboprop transport aircraft, under terms of a $25 million contract, Elisra officials say.

The advanced integrated airborne electronic warfare suite includes protection systems against various radar-guided and heat seeking missiles.

It was the second time in as many months that Elisra -- a subsidiary of Elbit Systems -- has received a contract for aircraft electronic warfare systems from the Republic of Korea.

Elisra specializes in electronic and information warfare as well as intelligence and C3 systems. The company develops advanced EW, intelligence RF and IR based technologies and communication solutions, for air, sea, and land applications.
