Novair selects navAero electronic flight bag for Airbus A321

SUNDSVALL, Sweden, 27 March 2010. The Swedish airline Novair selected navAero's announces the t-Bag C22 electronic flight bag (EFB) system for fleet wide deployment on their Airbus A321 aircraft.

SUNDSVALL, Sweden, 27 March 2010. The Swedish airline Novair selected navAero's announces the t-Bag C22 electronic flight bag (EFB) system for fleet wide deployment on their Airbus A321 aircraft.

The contracted program includes cross-connected dual t-Bag C22 EFB systems with the t-Pad 2000 display. The systems also feature the navAero-designed, UMTS/HSDPA – 3G cellular modem module for on-ground data transfer as well as ARINC 429 connectivity.

"We have, after a thorough evaluation, concluded that no competing EFB Class 2 system can match the performance and connectivity provided by navAero. We are very excited to be in the technology forefront in Europe to deploy Class 2 EFBs in revenue operations." says Cap. Helmut Schmid of Novair.

The contract covers a fleet wide deployment of Novair´s currently operated Airbus A321 aircraft.

"We are proud to bring our new technology and connectivity to Novair," says Knut Aabo, vice president of sales and marketing at navAero. "This highly integrated deployment is the next step in utilization of aircraft data for our t-Bag C22 electronic flight bag system. The deployment of the contracted platform has already started and will be finalized during 2010."
