Honeywell to provide avionics and other flight system support to ANA for Boeing 787 Dreamliner

PHOENIX, July 29, 2010. Honeywell (NYSE: HON) signed a 10-year integrated service agreement for support of All Nippon Airways's (ANA's) 50 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Honeywell will provide access to spares, logistics, and repair services for the Honeywell equipment installed on the B787 aircraft. Honeywell provides multiple products to the B787 aircraft, including flight control electronics, navigation radios, crew information system, and interior and exterior lighting.

"ANA can focus on operating the aircraft leaving the management of spares, logistics, and repairs to Honeywell. ANA avoids upfront investment costs of purchasing spares, minimizes administration expenses, and improves dispatch reliability."ANA is expected to receive their first 787 aircraft in December 2010 or January 2011. A total of 50 aircraft are expected to be delivered by 2016. The contract covers program services for 29 part numbers for a term of 10 years.Honeywell equipment available on Boeing aircraft includes the auxiliary power unit, cabin management system and services, communication, navigation and information management, displays, environmental control system, electric power, electronic fuel controls, flight controls, flight management systems, lighting, mechanical components, surveillance equipment, wheels, and brakes.
