U.S. Marine Corps air traffic control to be supported by BAE Systems

BAE Systems will provide engineering and technical services to support the U.S. Marine Corps' air traffic control systems under a readiness and sustainment contract worth as much as $30 million. The contract was awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD), based at St. Inigoes, Md.

BAE Systems will provide engineering and technical services to support the U.S. Marine Corps' air traffic control systems under a readiness and sustainment contract worth as much as $30 million. The contract was awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD), based at St. Inigoes, Md.The company will perform a range of services, including systems design and analysis, on-site technical assistance, and training. The systems encompass expeditionary equipment to control future and fielded air traffic navigation, integration, and coordination, as well as precision radars. The contract includes an initial one-year term plus four option years. If all of the options are exercised, the total value could reach approximately $30 million. The work will be performed at the Naval Air Station at Pax River, Md., and at other U.S. military bases around the world.
