MONTREAL, 8 Sept. 2010. Embvue Inc. in Montreal is introducing the A-Switch software implementation of an AFDX switchavionics data bus applications. AFDX refers to ARINC 664 Part 7 standard for avionics networking. A-Switch is for avionics integrators who want to use AFDX deterministic switched Ethernet networks without relying on proprietary switch products.

A-Switch has been written in accordance with the underlying Airbus AFDX patents and RTCA/DO-178B Level A. Embvue is licensed by Airbus to sell A-Switch for AFDX applications. AFDX has become the norm for new networks in civil avionics applications, company officials say.

A-Switch enables users to market their own products rather than buy from competitors; is relatively inexpensive to deploy and maintain; and is portable, flexible, scalable, and deployable in harsh environments, company officials say. For more information contact Embvue online at www.embvue.com.
