(NYSE: GR) won a follow-on contract worth more than $10 million from England's Ministry of Defence (MoD) for performance based logistics (PBL). The contract continues a decade of support for a number of legacy instruments used on a range of English jets and helicopters in operational service. The contract was awarded to Plymouth, England-based Atlantic Inertial Systems (AIS), which is part of Goodrich's Sensors and Integrated Systems. Goodrich's AIS team is a provider of mission-critical guidance, navigation, and stabilization products and systems for military and commercial markets. In addition to design, development, and production of MEMS devices and the TERPROM software system, the AIS operation provides spares, repairs, and obsolescence management for legacy equipment. Products supported include mechanical gyrocompasses and control systems for aircraft such as the Hawk and Sea King.
