Airbus and CAE announced at the biennial Airbus Training Symposium that they have agreed to renew their flight crew training services cooperation agreement through 2017. The cooperation began in 2002, and provides Airbus operators with a joint global network of training centers with the largest fleet of full-flight simulators (FFS) for Airbus aircraft types, standardized courseware, and expert instructors. The Airbus-CAE cooperation, which began with 10 training centers in 2002, has grown to 18 training centers and the number of full-flight simulators has tripled to 60 today, which are located in Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe, North and South America. The training offer has also expanded, and now Airbus and CAE are able to provide the complete range of training services, including turnkey training solutions. The most recent aircraft type to be added to the Airbus-CAE training services cooperation is the new Airbus A350 XWB extra-wide body, long-range aircraft."CAE's continuous technology innovation, industry leadership and presence in emerging markets represent tremendous value for Airbus customers worldwide," says Didier Lux, executive vice president of customer services for Airbus. "Our common goals and cooperation have led to some of the most effective and cost-efficient training services in the marketplace.""While our cooperation continues to adapt to emerging technologies and market dynamics, the benefits to the customer of training with Airbus and CAE have remained consistent," says Jeff Roberts, CAE group president, Civil Simulation Products, Training, and Services.
