Speakers from Airbus, Eurocontrol, and Swiss International Airlines discuss ATM avionics realities at Avionics & Defence Electronics Europe 2011

MUNICH, Germany, 4 Feb. 2011. Speakers from Airbus, Eurocontrol, and Swiss International Airlines comprise a session on air traffic management (ATM) avionics realities on the first day of the Avionics & Defence Electronics Europe 2011 conference and exhibition to be held March 16 – 17, 2010 at the M.O.C. Centre in Munich.

The session will begin with a talk on "Air Traffic Situation Awareness," which will be presented by Christos Rekkas, head of the Cascade Program Section for EuroControl and Martin Brodbeck & Jorg Neubert -- both of Swiss International Airlines. Next up is Fabienne Sauron- Combie of Airbus and Serge Bagieu of Eurocontrol. speaking on the Link 2000 program. Closing out the session will be a talk on "Revenue Flight Trials as Enabler for a Smooth Transition to New ATM Concepts" by Tom Maier, senior manager for Airbus. Chairing the session is John Law, head of surveillance and code coordination for EuroControl.
