Helicopter avionics session featured at Avionics & Defence Electronics Europe 2011

MUNICH, Germany, 9 Feb. 2011. A session on "Modernizing Helicopter Avionics" is featured on the second day of the Avionics & Defence Electronics Europe 2011 conference and exhibition to be held March 16- 17, 2010 at the M.O.C. Centre in Munich.

The session will begin with a talk on "Helicopter Avionics and Synthetic Vision" by Trevor Pegrum of Garmin International. Next up is Philip Moylan of CMC Electronics speaking on "LPV Approaches for Offshore." He is followed by Steven Luys and Brecht Baert of Barco with a presentation on the "Application of multi-core CPU in a safety critical context." Closing out the session is talk on "Situational Awareness: New Dimensions" by Geert Mansvelt of EuroAvionics. The session is chaired by Jakob Gärtner, deputy chief technical officer and vice president of expertise and support for Esterel.
