Navy orders 131 rugged military avionics displays for F/A-18F and EA-18G carrier-based jets
PATUXENT RIVER NAS, Md., 6 March 2011. U.S. Navy officials needed two kinds of rugged military avionics displays for the F/A-18F Hornet strike fighter, and for the EA-18G Growler carrier-based electronic warfare jet. They found their solution from the Honeywell International Inc. Defense & Space segment in Albuquerque, N.M. The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Md., awarded an $8.3 million contract option to Honeywell Defense & Space Friday for 131 Advanced Multi-Purpose Displays for lot 35 of the Boeing F/A-18F and EA-18G carrier-based aircraft.
