Avionics Intelligence Report, 12 April 2011. University of North Dakota (UND) and L3 Link Simulation & Training officials are opening a school for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)  majors at UND. Meanwhile the U.S. Navy is kicking off a program to develop a carried-based UAV -- the Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) --by 2018.
