Validation of 787 Dreamliner service readiness being conducted in Japan

TOKYO, 28 May 2011. ANA and Boeing [NYSE: BA] officials are collaborating on proving the readiness of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner to enter commercial service. Both companies are making use of ZA002, the second 787 test aircraft, for simulating in-service operations at multiple Japanese airports.

Both companies are making use of ZA002, the second 787 test aircraft, for simulating in-service operations at multiple Japanese airports. Validation will occur mid-summer. The most likely routes will be between Haneda Airport in Tokyo and airports in Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Okayama and Hiroshima.ANA is the launch customer for the Dreamliner and has 55 787s ordered. Dreamliner maintenance and servicing will also be practiced by maintenance personnel at ANA. These services include typical ground maintenance, towing and refueling the airplane, fit checks of airplane jacks and maintenance hangar stands, and other operations. Similar service ready validations have been conducted with great success The end of this summer or early fall will is when Boeing officials ay they expect to deliver the first Dreamliner to ANA.
