SUNDSVALL, SWEDEN, 18 June 2011. Neos S.p.A. out of Somma Lombardo, Italy will be using the t-BagC22electronic flight bag (EFB) from navAero onboard its Boeing 737-800 and 767-300ER fleets. Neos is upgrading its Class 1 EFBs to the navAero Class 2 EFB devices.
The navAero EFB system has internal CPU HSDPA/UMTS/GRPS/EDGE modules and the company's t-Pad 2000 Display. It uses the navAero Aircraft Interface Device (AID), which provides certified connectivity to aircraft systems and enables software applications such as airport surface area moving maps with own-ship position. NavAero engineers are also providing software, integration services and Supplemental Type Certification (EASA STC) for each aircraft model. Deliveries of the navAero EFB will happen later this year.
