787 Dreamliner service ready validation completed by Boeing and ANA

Posted by John McHaleTOKYO, 15 July 2011. Officials at All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Boeing (NYSE: BA) finished the 787 Dreamliner's service ready operational validation in Japan. During the validation, ANA pilots and Boeing personnel flew the 787 Dreamliner on routes from Seattle to Tokyo and Tokyo to four airports across Japan, including Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Okayama and Hiroshima. . ANA maintenance and ground crews also worked on the 787 aircraft in the simulated operational environment.Teams from ANA and Boeing validated more than a hundred procedures, including staging electronic flight bag data, towing the airplane, completing maintenance actions, and conducting fit checks of ground support equipment among other activities.ANA's first scheduled service with the 787 will be either the Tokyo Haneda-Okayama or Tokyo Haneda-Hiroshima route later this year.ANA has 55 Dreamliners on order and will deploy the aircraft across its route network.
