Embraer KC-390 flight control system to be supplied by Goodrich

CHARLOTTE, N.C., 28 July 2011. Embraer officials selected a primary flight control system from Goodrich Corp. (NYSE: GR) for the new Embraer KC-390 jet transport aircraft. Goodrich engineers will design and produce a new, fly-by wire, primary flight control system composed of electro-hydrostatic actuators (EHAs), electro-backup hydrostatic actuators (EBHAs), actuator electronics, and electrical controls.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., 28 July 2011. Embraer officials selected a primary flight control system from Goodrich Corp. (NYSE: GR) for the new Embraer KC-390 jet transport aircraft. Goodrich engineers will design and produce a new, fly-by wire, primary flight control system composed of electro-hydrostatic actuators (EHAs), electro-backup hydrostatic actuators (EBHAs), actuator electronics, and electrical controls.
Goodrich engineers will create and deliver the system through the joint efforts of its Actuation Systems business, Engine Control & Electrical Power Systems business, and Goodrich Electronic Systems Center.
The KC-390 aircraft can operate from short and semi-prepared runways. The aircraft's missions include search and rescue, in-flight refueling, and medical evacuation.
