SESAR, NextGen video views on manned and unmanned aircraft convergence sought by Rockwell Collins for AUVSI

WASHINGTON, 31 July 2011. Officials at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are inviting attendees of next AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America 2011 show to share their views on video regarding what is needed to integrate U.S. Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen), Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR), and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations in all airspace.

Officials at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are inviting attendees of next AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America 2011 show to share their views on video regarding what is needed to integrate U.S. Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen), Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR), and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations in all airspace..The videos will become part of the company's newest eBook, titled "The Coming Revolution in Airspace Operation: Preparing for NextGen and SESAR … Today." Aviation industry players who already shared their opinions for the eBook include Marion Blakey, Aerospace Industries Association president and chief executive officer and Bo Redeborn, Eurocontrol principal director of air traffic management (ATM). Rockwell Collins will be at booth #2221 at the show, which is held Aug. 16 - 19, 2011 in Washington.Questions the video participants will be asked include:1. What is your organization doing today to get ready for NextGen and/or SESAR? 2. What are the critical technologies needed to improve automation and efficiency in aircraft and air traffic management? 3. What is the role of UAVs and optionally piloted aircraft both today in the future?
