China Eastern Airlines receives high-altitude, high-temperature Boeing 737-700

SEATTLE, 24 Aug. 2011. China Eastern Airlines took delivery of a Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 aircraft equipped with the High-Altitude/High-Temperature Airport Operations Feature Package and the new Boeing Sky Interior. The airplane will be assigned to China Eastern Airlines Sichuan Co., Ltd. in Chengdu, and operate at high-altitude airports in western China.

China Eastern Airlines took delivery of a Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 aircraft equipped with the High-Altitude/High-Temperature Airport Operations Feature Package and the new Boeing Sky Interior. The airplane will be assigned to China Eastern Airlines Sichuan Co., Ltd. in Chengdu, and operate at high-altitude airports in western China.

The 737-700 boasts additional payload capability at high-altitude airports and in hot conditions, an extended-duration oxygen system, and equipment for enhanced en route navigation to and from high-altitude airports.

The Boeing Sky Interior sports a new lighting and curving architecture employing light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
