Delta Expands In-Flight Wifi and Entertainment Options

ATLANTA, Oct, 6. 2011. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) launched new in-flight entertainment options for customers today as part of a $2 billion project to improve the flying experience. The additions include Delta Connect, a new in-flight portal that will be available exclusively to all customers using Wi-Fi on Delta aircraft; wireless movies and television on demand on Boeing 757-300 aircraft; and a more user-friendly design for Airbus A330 in-flight entertainment systems that includes more content choices. Delta Connect will feature an expanded range of free content, allowing passengers to access information on destination oriented concerts, festivals, news, events and entertainment.

The additions include Delta Connect, a new in-flight portal that will be available exclusively to all customers using Wi-Fi on Delta aircraft; wireless movies and television on demand on Boeing 757-300 aircraft; and a more user-friendly design for Airbus A330 in-flight entertainment systems that includes more content choices.

Delta Connect will feature an expanded range of free content, allowing passengers to access information on destination oriented concerts, festivals, news, events and entertainment.

Entertainment on demand, a new feature available through Delta's Wifi, will allow passengers to order television shows and movies on demand. The prices range from $.99 for television shows and $3.99 for movies. Entertainment on demand is expected to be avalable on laptops and mobile devices by early 2012 on Boeing 757-300s.

The Airbus entertainment upgrades will include a Delta Sky Kids section that offers family-friendly content along with 150% more movies along with more television, music and games.
