Aircraft manufacturer Airbus S.A.S. selects Sabre Airport Data Intelligence system

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 1 Nov. 2011. Sabre Airline Solutions, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider to the aviation industry, is providing its Airport Data Intelligence solution to aircraft manufacturer Airbus S.A.S. for use as its primary source of passenger traffic, airline schedule, and fare information. Sabre Global Demand combines market information from global distribution systems (GDSs) with more than 40 other market data sources and unique algorithms to deliver comprehensive market intelligence.

Airbus S.A.S staff will begin using Airport Data Intelligence in the first quarter of 2012. It will contribute to market needs analysis for its commercial aircraft across the globe. The European-based company will also use Sabre’s Airport Data Intelligence as a business intelligence application to analyze key market metrics and schedule data. Airbus officials, armed with this information, will make strategic business decisions, such as production and delivery timelines for each of its aircraft types.

“This is the latest example we have seen where companies other than airports have partnered with us because of the high quality travel related data we are able to provide,” explains Darren Rickey, vice president of Solutions Management for Sabre Airline Solutions.
