3U VPX power electronics device for avionics and military applications introduced by NAI

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 8 Feb. 2012. North Atlantic Industries (NAI) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the VPX55-3 3U rugged VPX power electronics device for harsh-environment aerospace and defense applications on land, in the air, and at sea. The VPX55-3 provides as much as 300 Watts of power with six outputs and complies with MIL-STD-704F.

The VPX power supply has an option for MIL-STD-1275B transients for operation during 6 volts DC cranking conditions and reverse polarity protection, and a built-in electro-magnetic interference (EMI) filter that meets MIL-STD-461. The board is designed to meet standard 3U VPX embedded computing mechanical requirements and has VITA 62-compatible outputs and signaling.
