TASC wins contract to support Air Force Medical Service with engineering, technical services

CHANTILLY, Va., 10 Feb. 2012. TASC Inc. won a U.S. Air Force indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity Consultant, Advisory, and Technical Services (CATS) contract to support the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) within the continental United States and U.S. territories. The CATS award has four one-year options and a maximum value of $985 million for all awardees; 13 companies are eligible to bid on individual task orders to deliver management and professional support, engineering and technical services, and studies, analyses, and evaluations.

The CATS award has four one-year options and a maximum value of $985 million for all awardees; 13 companies are eligible to bid on individual task orders to deliver management and professional support, engineering and technical services, and studies, analyses, and evaluations.

TASC has assembled a team from eight partner companies with expertise in health and medical administrative and operational services, biomedical sciences, and research and development to meet the program objectives.

"Our goal is to ensure the Air Force Medical Service has the right mix of highly technical expertise and management experience for its health care services and operations," says John Brennan, vice president of TASC's Air Force business unit. "With TASC's support, the AFMS can provide the capabilities necessary to optimize its health care strategy in the most cost-efficient manner."
