MUNICH, 22 March 2012. Aitech is featuring its new M595 XMC and M597 PMC advanced graphics boards at the Avionics Europe 2012 exhibition in Munich.

These versatile and rugged embedded graphics and video boards provide advanced specifications and deliver exceptionally high performance with a broad range of video input/output (I/O) options, says a company spokesperson. The new graphics and video boards are well suited to a wide variety of rugged avionics applications.

Both boards use the high-performance AMD/ATI E4690 graphics processing unit (GPU), which delivers multiple video outputs from its native video ports. In addition, a sophisticated FPGA sits alongside the E4690 to support a wide variety of additional video output formats and video overlay features, video input formats, and signal conditioning options.

Aitech is demonstrating its very latest ruggedized and compact commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) single-board computers (SBCs), graphics boards, Gbit Ethernet switches, and highly flexible computer systems for harsh, environmentally-demanding defense and aerospace applications at Avionics Europe.

These products from Aitech are supported by the company’s COTS Lifecycle+ Obsolescence Management services. The company delivers advanced rugged technologies, including DO-254 compliance, vibration and shock resistance, electromagnetic compatibility, etc., for challenging applications. Aitech products are available in conduction- or air-cooled versions and to commercial, rugged, or military specifications.
