Alaska Airlines inks 10-year deal with AAR Corp. to provide MRO services to Alaska's fleet of Boeing 737 jetliners
WOOD DALE, Ill., 8 April 2012. Leaders of Alaska Airlines in Seattle are looking to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) segment of AAR Corp. in Wood Dale, Ill., to provide component repair and management services for three versions of the Alaska fleet of Boeing 737 passenger jetliners under terms of 10-year contract. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
AAR MRO will provide repair of high-removal, high-value components across Alaska’s entire fleet of 87 Boeing 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft, AAR officials say. The agreement covers a new cost-per-flight-hour program.

Managing maintenance and repair of valuable components on Alaska's Boeing 737 fleet will be the Aviation Supply Chain segment of the AAR Commercial Products and Services group.
AAR will test, repair and overhaul Alaska Airlines components with guaranteed turn times, AAR officials say. AAR has MRO services to Alaska since 2002.
AAR MRO services range from supplying individual spare parts to carrying out end-to-end supply chain management programs with new and refurbished parts, AAR MRO also offers engine parts, parts management programs, and engine sale and leasing options.
