HIAWATHA, Iowa, 17 April 2012. U.S. Air Force officials have recognized Crystal Group Inc. staff for its contributions to the B-2 "Spirit" Stealth Bomber, including work on the Adaptable Communications Suite (ACS) program, which enables aircrews to send and receive encrypted data while en route to targets.

Crystal Group provides a blend of custom-designed equipment for each B-2 aircraft.

The B-2 Spirit is considered the world's most advanced long-range strike asset. Its range, precision, payload, and ability to operate in anti-access environments enable the B-2 to identify, locate, target, and destroy high-value enemy targets.

Crystal Group is working with the Air Force team to upgrade current capabilities on-board the B-2, helping to preserve a strategic advantage and increase the flexibility, lethality, and survivability of this national asset, says a representative.

"Crystal Group is very pleased to be given this recognition by the U.S. Air Force. Providing our customers with unparalleled support, along with a superior product line is key to why Crystal Group has been so successful. Having that direct customer be the U.S. Air Force, and playing such a large role in the B-2 ACS Program is an incredible honor for the company," says Mya Dinusson, Crystal Group program manager.
