Paragon Aviation Group grows network of independent FBOs to 16 members with addition of Austin's Henriksen Jet Center

AUSTIN, Texas, 16 May 2012. Paragon Aviation Group, a network of independent general aviation fixed-based operators (FBOs) based in Houston, is adding Henriksen Jet Center (KEDC) based at Austin Executive Airport in Austin, Texas, to its group of individual and small chains of independent FBOs.

With the addition of Austin's Henriksen Jet Center, the Paragon Aviation Group expands to 16 members. Paragon audits its operators to ensure quality of facilities and services. Paragon FBO members, in addition to Austin, Texas, are located in Tulsa, Okla., Denver; Seattle; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Fort Worth, Texas; Green Bay, Wis.; Hillsboro, Ore.; Oakland, Calif.; Teterboro, N.J.; Tampa, Fla., Van Nuys, Calif.; Exuma, Bahamas; and Nassau, Bahamas.

Austin Executive Airport is the newest business aviation airport in the country, Paragon officials say. Henriksen Jet Center is open 24 hours and features theater room, VIP passenger lounge, and an atrium style lobby. FBOs join Paragon's network to gain advantages in buying FBO services such as flight-tracking software and insurance.

Austin Executive Airport's master plan calls for a 27,500-square-foot FBO terminal building, a 6,025-foot runway and taxiway, 2,200-foot grass runway, fuel farm, a 29,000-square-foot corporate hangar large enough to fit a Gulfstream V business jet, and a 140-by-85-foot arrival canopy.

Telecommunications entrepreneur and private pilot Ron Henriksen, spent nearly $33 million developing the 585-acre Austin Executive Airport, which opened in 2010. Henriksen in 1983 founded Logix Communications in Houston.
