WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn., 24 July 2012.Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. (JAL) officials extended an exclusive repair agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), for the maintenance and repair of the airline company’s Boeing 767/777 and MD90 fleets.
The extended agreement covers repairs through August 2014, expanding upon Hamilton Sundstrand's initial exclusive repair agreement with JAL signed in 2008.
JAL is one of the largest airlines in the world, says a representative. With its sister companies, JAL carries more than 35 million passengers every year to 231 destinations in 40 countries in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, including code-share.
With 2011 sales of $6.2 billion, Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks, Conn., is among the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. The company designs, manufactures, and services aerospace systems and provides integrated system solutions for commercial, regional, corporate, and military aircraft. It also is a major supplier for international space programs.
