DRS opens Gulf Coast MRO for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters
ARLINGTON, Va., 22 Aug. 2012. DRS Technologies in Arlington, Va., has opened a state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the South Alabama Regional Airport in Andalusia, Ala., to provide maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul services for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.
The facility, dubbed the Gulf Coast MRO Center, includes two hangars with shop space and an engineering and administrative building, totaling more than 70,000 square feet.
DRS officials say they plan to pursue work for the site through many highly competitive opportunities and strategic partnerships.
