Largest airport in Spain awarding contracts, undergoing significant expansion, improvement to better service wide-body aircraft

CANARY ISLANDS, Spain, 30 Aug. 2012. Gran Canaria Airport (LPA), the fifth largest airport in Spain and the largest airport in the Canary Islands, is undergoing an airport expansion project to increase airport capacity and maximize the airport's ability to service wide-body aircraft.

CANARY ISLANDS, Spain, 30 Aug. 2012. Gran Canaria Airport (LPA), the fifth largest airport in Spain and the largest airport in the Canary Islands, is undergoing an airport expansion project to increase airport capacity and maximize the airport's ability to servicewide-body aircraft.

AENA Aeropuertos Espanoles y Navegacion Aerea officials are awarding contracts under the terminal expansion project, which is part of a €163 million improvement initiative.
