BEIJING, 9 Sept. 2012. The entry-level Phenom 100 business jet from Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer in São José Dos Campos, Brazil, is ready to take to the skies of China after receiving certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), headquartered in Beijing.
The CAAC is the aviation authority in China, and is responsible for aircraft type certification to enable differen kinds of aircraft to fly legally in China, including general aviation, business aviation, and commercial aviation aircraft.
The Phenom 100 private jet accommodates as many as eight passengers, has a range of 1,178 nautical miles, and can fly nonstop from Beijing to Tokyo; New York to Miami; and London to Tunis, Embraer officials say. The business jet has Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E turbofan engines.

The Phenom 100 Prodigy flight deck with Garmin avionics enables fast and intuitive flight planning. It enables pilots to send text messages through the aircraft’s avionics system and to receive them from mobile phones and e-mail servers.
Embraer offers a preflight iPad application called the iPreflight performance package, for flight planning that includes airport and approach charts, NOTAMs, and METARs.
