ARLINGTON, Va., 18 Oct. 2012. PAE won a U.S. Department of State (DoS) Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) contract, valued at $149 million over one base year with four one-year option periods, to support the Colombian National Police Aviation Program (ARAVI), which supports counternarcotics efforts throughout the U.S.
Under the contract, PAE staff will provide administrative, technical, maintenance, training, and logistics/procurement in support of ARAVI operations in Bogota, Tulua, and several mobile bases.
CNP personnel undertake counter-narcotics activities such as aerial escort, airmobile operations, intelligence collection, troop transport and logistics. The police service also supports humanitarian, anti-terrorism, anti-kidnapping, and public order missions.
"PAE has supported the DoS INL mission for seven years with Rule of Law and Justice Sector Support, and we are honored to expand our relationship to include aviation support for such a critical program," says Mike Dignam, CEO of PAE.
