NBAA 2012 honors legacy, impact of Armstrong, Tuskegee Airmen

ORLANDO, Fla., 31 Oct. 2012. Roughly 23,000 aviation professionals, as well as more than 1,000 exhibitors with 100-plus business jets, gathered at the National Business Aviation Administration (NBAA) 2012 annual meeting and convention this week in Orlando, Fla.

This year’s event was dedicated to “the legacy of American hero Neil Armstrong,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen during the Opening General Session on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Association presented its 2012 Meritorious Service to Aviation Award during a moving tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, an elite group of World War II African-American fighter pilots.

NBAA’s 66th annual meeting and convention (NBAA2013) is scheduled to be held October 22–24, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev. For more, visit http://www.nbaa.org.
