Pentastar to begin satellite business aircraft maintenance and repair at East Coast facility in Oxford, Conn.

OXFORD, Conn., 2 Dec. 2012. The Pentastar Aviation maintenance facility at Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC) in Oxford, Conn., has received the go-ahead from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to begin general aircraft and airframe maintenance on a wide variety of business aviation aircraft.

OXFORD, Conn., 2 Dec. 2012. The Pentastar Aviation maintenance facility at Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC) in Oxford, Conn., has received the go-ahead from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to begin general aircraft and airframe maintenance on a wide variety of business aviation aircraft.

Pentastar has received FAR 145 Satellite Repair Station Certification for the company's business jet maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility, located at the Key Air fixed-base operator (FBO) at Waterbury-Oxford Airport. Pentastar opened the facility in June.

Satellite Repair Station Certification helps Pentastar expand its general aircraft and airframe maintenance and repair business to general-aviation jets based along or near the East Coast.

Pentastar's aircraft and airframe repair facility in Connecticut joins the company's certified Midwest aircraft repair facility at Oakland County International Airport (PTK) in Waterford Township, Mich., outside Detroit. Pentastar is based in at PTK.

Pentastar has maintained heavy jets, including Challenger, Falcon, and Gulfstream from its PTK location for nearly 50 years, company officials say.

Pentastar Aviation provides aircraft maintenance, aircraft management services, aviation advisors, avionics design, installation, and repair, as well as and aircraft charter.
