United Technologies to divest UTC Power unit to ClearEdge Power

HARTFORD, Conn., 26 Dec. 2012. United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) will divest its UTC Power fuel cells unit to ClearEdge Power in Hillsboro, Ore.

HARTFORD, Conn., 26 Dec. 2012.United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) will divest its UTC Power fuel cells unit to ClearEdge Power in Hillsboro, Ore.

Divesting UTC Power is part of UTC's ongoing portfolio transformation to focus on its core, aerospace and building systems.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Closing is expected early in 2013.
