AVIONICS INTELLIGENCE REPORT, 8 Jan. 2013. Industry pundits and analysts are already providing their forecasts and predictions for the avionics market in 2013, which looks to be a busy year chock full of new opportunities and innovations.

In this week’s Avionics Intelligence Report, Executive Editor Courtney E. Howard discusses aviation market segments predicted to be hot spots in 2013.

Watch for avionics innovations and opportunities in air traffic management, commercial unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), and satellites and commercial spacecraft. Also look for airport expansions, and growth in business aviation and MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul). The Avionics Intelligence and Avionics Europeconference and exhibition team have several surprises in store, as well.

“To keep up with the fast-paced aviation community and to feed avionics professionals’ appetite for industry and technology news, we’re doubling the distribution of the electronic newsletter,” Howard says. Beginning this week, the Avionics Intelligencee-newsletter will be delivered twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with all the hottest avionics news.
