SAN JOSE, Calif., 6 Feb. 2013. RFMW has added design and sales support for Sangshin Elecom ceramic, monoblock filters targeting avionics applications for Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), Universal Access Transceiver (UAT), and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS).

Three models typify the suite of filters dedicated to these applications. Sangshin’s MBP44RC978S05C filter is a 4-pole, 4-millimeter resonator structure at 978 MHz with a 5 MHz bandwidth. Attenuation is 37 dB minimum at 50 MHz offset, while insertion loss is 2.8 dB max.

The MBP44RC1030S15C and MBP44RC1090S15C are centered at 1030 MHz and 1090 MHz, respectively. Both have a bandwidth of 15 MHz and offer 37 dB minimum attenuation at 50 MHz offset with insertion loss < 2.8 dB.

All three filters offer the same small footprint in a 11x9x4.5-millimeter package. Sangshin filters are quickly and easily modifiable to customer specific requirements.

Offerings include:

MBP44RC978S05C - 978 MHz, 5 MHz BW, Monoblock Filter
MBP44RC1030S15C - 1030 MHz, 15 MHz BW, Monoblock Filter
MBP44RC1090S15C - 1090 MHz, 15 MHz BW, Monoblock Filter

Samples are available for qualified requirements through RFMW Ltd.
