MUNICH, 20 Feb. 2013. At Avionics Europe 2013, Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is introducing its LCR-110 Inertial Reference System, designed to deliver low cost, small size, and low weight and to improve the capability and reliability of the aircraft’s performance-based navigation (PBN).

It delivers the benefits of inertial navigation even into aircraft usually not equipped with IRS. This is a major step toward NextGen and SESAR operations by supporting Required Navigation Performance (RNP) 0.1 navigation capability worldwide, 24 hours a day, helping the operator to reduce fuel consumption and save time, explains a company representative.

Avionics Europe attendees can see the new LCR-110 Inertial Reference System in stand C8.
