MUNICH, 20 Feb. 2013. Research and development engineers at Barco, a provider of cockpit displays for the aerospace market, are providing attendees at the Avionics Europe 2013 conference and exhibition with a glimpse of the future.
The company’s booth highlights the Cockpit of the Future. The design of the new cockpit display focuses on revolutionizing the input interface and the display concept.
Barco’s “R&D teams are looking ahead and are working hard on designing the visualization systems for tomorrow’s cockpits,” reveals a representative on the Avionics Europe exhibition floor.
Barco’s avionics R&D team and research partner Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) conceived and developed a large, unified iPad-style screen with a unified multi-touch display, designed to enable more-intuitive operation. The concept comprises four bright liquid crystal displays (LCDs) in a flush design.
