VISTA, Calif., 17 April 2013. Eurocopter is offering SN4500 Primary Navigation Displays and SA4550 Primary Attitude Displays from Sandel Avionics Inc., a provider of compact, integrated display systems technologies in Vista, Calif., as optional equipment on its EC135 helicopters.

Sandel products are now offered in Eurocopter’s Blue Book, as part of the Mid-life Efficiency Package (MEP) for new production EC135 models.

The Sandel SA4550 Primary Attitude Display delivers ease of use and LED-backlit display technology for high visibility even in bright sunlight conditions. Intuitive pilot controls allow single- or dual-cue display options and include additional convenience features designed to ease workload and make flying safer. The SN4500 Primary Navigation Display features the same high-visibility display technology, and includes added functionality and enhanced safety through its standard Strormscope traffic and datalink weather interfaces.

Eurocopter is the fifth Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the past two years to enhance its product offering with Sandel’s avionics displays, says a company representative. Sandel’s HeliTAWS is included as standard equipment on Sikorsky S-70i BLACK HAWK helicopters and new helicopters manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries.
