LACONIA, N.H., 4 June 2013. Titeflex Aerospace, manufacturer of fluid transfer hoses and assemblies in Laconia, N.H., won two contracts from Boeing to supply AS1975 and AS4570 flex-rigid assemblies for its 777 airplane platform.

The Titeflex hybrid assembly combines flex hose with multi-bend tube, designed to offer improved vibration dampening, ease of installation, and maintenance. Constructed of extruded smoothbore conductive PTFE innercore and reinforced with Kevlar para-aramid braid, the lightweight 3,000-psi, non-metallic aerospace hose assembly is qualified to AS1975.

“Field Return and Boeing Test Data clearly indicate Titeflex is the superior product, I am very excited to announce these contracts with Boeing,” says Titeflex Aerospace General Manager Graham Thomson. “A combination of a product quality and competitive pricing plus a higher level of technical interaction with Boeing have been vital to winning this additional business.”

Titeflex Aerospace fluid transfer assemblies are also currently onboard Boeing MD80, 717, 737, 747, 747-8, 757, 767, and 787 airplanes. In addition to Boeing, Titeflex Aerospace supplies flexible PTFE hoses, rigid, and flex-rigid assemblies to many leading airframers and large OEM shops in the aerospace industry.
