Triumph Group to design, build fuselage sections and other components for second-generation Embraer E-Jets

BERWYN, Pa., 10 June 2013. Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division, a Triumph Group Inc. (NYSE:TGI) subsidiary, won a contract worth roughly $1.7 billion over its lifetime to design and build the center fuselage section III, rear fuselage section, and various tail section components (rudder and elevator) for Embraer’s second-generation E-Jet family.

BERWYN, Pa., 10 June 2013. Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division, a Triumph Group Inc. (NYSE:TGI) subsidiary, won a contract worth roughly $1.7 billion over its lifetime to design and build the center fuselage section III, rear fuselage section, and various tail section components (rudder and elevator) for Embraer’s second-generation E-Jet family.

The program, planned to enter service in 2018, is expected to launch later this year. Spending in FY 2014 will be approximately $25 million.

Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division designs, tests and manufactures aerostructures for commercial, military and business jet aircraft. Products include fuselage sections, wings, empennages, nacelle structures and helicopter cabins.
