The Boeing Company, which built the 777 twin-aisle jet that crashed, reportedly sent a technical team to help federal investigators, as they worked to determine what caused Flight 214 to crash. Boeing officials issued the following statement.

“Boeing extends its deepest condolences to the families of those who perished in the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 accident in San Francisco, as well as its wishes for the recovery of those injured. A Boeing technical team is onsite to provide assistance at the request and under the direction of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as the agency conducts its investigation. In accordance with the international protocol governing aviation accident investigations, all inquiries about the investigation must be directed to the NTSB.”
