WASHINGTON, July 2013. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) unveiled a map of the world traced by airports, runways, and helicopter pads created by Astronomy Ph.D. Candidate James Davenport.

WASHINGTON, July 2013. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) unveiled a map of the world traced by airports, runways, and helicopter pads created by Astronomy Ph.D. Candidate James Davenport.

The map used a total of 45,132 runways to fill in the world.
