SEATTLE, 19 Dec. 2013. Washington lawmakers are busy responding to inquiries related to their efforts to court Airbus, a main competitor to Boeing, which operates multiple facilities and employs more than 84,000 people in Washington.

Associated Press staff revealed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) signed by Washington legislators this year, as they visited Airbus officials in Virginia. Airbus Americas headquarters is located outside Washington, D.C., in Herndon, Va.

Reports indicate Washington leaders have visited Airbus officials in the U.S. multiple times to entice Airbus to open a facility and contract with suppliers in the state.
