COLUMBUS, Ohio, 22 Jan. 2014. Spirit Aeronautics, a provider in business aircraft services, has added another hangar to its Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) campus to support its aircraft interiors refurbishment service expansion.

“Demand in the area for high-quality interior refurbishment service on business category aircraft is growing and we are expanding to meet the need,” says Tony Bailey, president of Spirit Aeronautics. “The addition of Hangar 3 to our campus allows our interiors shop the room needed to increase capacity and improve productivity. The space allows us to lay out full Bombardier Challenger-, Global-, and Gulfstream-sized interiors and work concurrently on different elements of a project which ultimately reduces aircraft down time.”

The new hangar at 4800 E. 5th Avenue encompasses 17,860 square feet of ground area and 7,800 square feet of shop space. The hangar includes additional office and shop space that sits adjacent to Spirit Aeronautics Hangar 2 facility.

Spirit Aeronautics, a trade name of Spirit Avionics Ltd, is located in Columbus, Ohio, and is an authorized Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Aircell, and Garmin service facility. Spirit Aeronautics is a provider of worldwide aviation services that include aircraft management, avionics, parts sales, engineering, aircraft maintenance, and interior refurbishment.
