Navy to brief industry this month on strategies for unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare, and biofuels

RIDGECREST, Calif., 9 Feb. 2014. U.S. Navy air warfare experts will brief industry on their acquisition strategies for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), electronic warfare (EW), biofuels, and other important technologies on 26 Feb. at China Lake Naval Weapons Station in Ridgecrest, Calif.
RIDGECREST, Calif., 9 Feb. 2014. U.S. Navy air warfare experts will brief industry on their acquisition strategies for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), electronic warfare (EW), biofuels, and other important technologies on 26 Feb. at China Lake Naval Weapons Station in Ridgecrest, Calif.

Officials of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD) at China Lake will conduct industry briefings from noon to 4 p.m. pacific time on 26 Feb. 2014 in room 1111 of the McLean Laboratory at China Lake.

Tentative topics to be discussed are integration and interoperability (I&I); unmanned air systems (UAS); electronic warfare; innovation; and bio-fuels. The topic of the industry day event is NAWCWD and Industry Working Together to Provide Innovative Solutions to the Warfighter.

Navy Rear Adm. Michael Moran, the NAWCWD commanding officer, will conduct a "fireside chat" on the direction of NAWCWD for science, technology, and innovation, Navy officials say.
