EXCLUSIVE: ALPHARETTA, Ga., 10 Feb. 2014. Logicircuit Inc., a company dedicated to assisting DO-254 and DO-178 applicants in Alpharetta, Ga., has just launched its DO-254 Effort Estimator version 1. Logicircuit is currently providing this utility, being called the industry’s first publicly available tool for estimating the cost and effort required to achieve DO-254 compliance, for free at the company’s website.

Logicircuit’s team of DO-254 and DO-178 professionals, pooling vast experience and data gathered from numerous DO-254 projects, has developed this customizable tool to help applicants gain an idea of what DO-254 programs really cost.

“One of the first questions people new to DO-254 always ask is ‘How much effort/cost is this going to be?’” notes Michelle Lange, Logicircuit Inc.’s directory of marketing and sales. “Trust me when I say I’ve never found a good answer or any real data that is publicly available that can help people – and I’ve looked.” Lange and her colleagues at Logicircuit set out to remedy that problem, and developed the DO-254 Effort Estimator based on real-world data from numerous compliance projects over several years.
