TRU Simulation + Training Inc. acquires ProFlight LLC, FAA Part 142 training center
GOOSE CREEK, S.C., 10 July 2014. TRU Simulation + Training Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, has acquired ProFlight LLC, a provider of advanced pilot training and FAA-approved Part 142 training center in Carlsbad, Calif.
ProFlight specializes in Cessna Citation CJ Series training and Cessna Conquest Series training, as well as offers a continuous currency program that provides pilots greater training flexibility and year-round proficiency. Founded in 1988 by professional pilot instructors who saw a need for high-quality flight training at a lower cost, ProFlight has trained thousands of pilots and continues to grow as its innovative training model appeals to a broad range of pilots, from owner operators to corporate aviation departments, officials say. ProFlight will continue to operate from its Carlsbad facility.
