NovaWurks taps industry veteran to lead new commercial space-based services arm

NovaWurks Inc., a provider of high-technology space products and services, appointed industry veteran Paul Lithgow as chief, advanced concepts overseeing the company’s commercial arm in growing space-based services and technologies projects.

“Paul’s inventive spirit and leadership within the space and satellite communities will help in directing NovaWurks’ efforts to provide commercial entities a creative ability to go into space,” Jaeger adds.

With his deep experience in the satellite and technology industries, Lithgow will be able to utilize the company’s Hyper-Integrated Satlet (HISat) technology to showcase how commercial and government entities can benefit from the technology and have access to space more efficiently and cost effectively than ever before.

Lithgow has led a variety of business teams that have resulted in successful advanced satellite programs and space product launches for companies, such as Comtech AeroAstro, Radyne, and Spectrum Astro. His 30 years of engineering and management experience has made Lithgow a thought leader within the space and satellite communities. He earned his Master’s degree in Engineering from Wright State University after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona.

Lithgow will join Talbot Jaeger at the 28th Annual Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah. On 6 Aug. 2014, Jaeger and Walt Mirczak, a NovaWurks senior mission and systems engineer, will present “Phoenix and the New Satellite Paradigm Created by HISat” to address the development of Novawurks’ HISat technology and how the company’s Conformal Spacecraft technology is an industry game-changer.
